1  When: Around 700,000 years ago

2    Representative tools

1) Chipped Stone (Implement) or Flaked Stone (Tool) <뗀석기>

   It is called a 'chipped stone' because Paleolithic people made it by breaking a stone. Scholars assume that a single chipped stone was used for many purposes.

* Paleolithic people used a 'tanged point(or a tang)' after inserting it into a hilt/shaft of a spear or arrow.

 

2) Bone Implement <뼈도구>

  Paleolithic people processed the bone of the game they caught and used it as a tool.
